Privacy
Where to Knock has no accounts, no sign-up, no ads and no tracking cookies. Here is exactly what happens with what you do on it.
What you save stays on your device. My doors, your notes, "Tell it once" and the last page you looked at are kept in this browser's own storage on this phone or computer. They are not sent to us. Remove a door in My doors, or clear this site's data in your browser, and it is gone.
Each website keeps its own list. wheretoknock.com (English) and tocalapuerta.com (Spanish) are separate websites to your browser, so a door saved on one does not show on the other.
Reminders are made on your device. "Remind me in 7 days" builds a calendar file in your browser with only the program's name in it. You save it to your own calendar. Nothing is sent to us.
Listen uses your device's own voice. The words are read by your phone or computer. They are not sent to us.
We count pages, not people. Each page you open adds one to an anonymous daily tally for that page's address, without the part after a question mark. No cookie, no ID, nothing you type. If your browser sends Do Not Track, not even that. Tallies are kept 90 days, then deleted on their own.
A small guard against bots. To stop scripts from flooding the counter, it counts how many requests come from one network address in a minute. That count is held for about two minutes and then deleted on its own. It is never stored with the page tallies.
Who helps run it. Vercel hosts the site and, like any web host, keeps ordinary server logs of requests. Upstash keeps the anonymous tallies. Neither gets a profile of you, because there isn't one.
The links we show. When you open a program's website, a phone number or an email, you leave Where to Knock. That program's own privacy rules apply there.
